Dad taught at St Theodores High School in Burnley for most of his working life. He left behind his wife Rita and children gillian, Christine, Peter, Cathryn and myself Teresa.
Dad suffered for a long time with MS and lukemia he was a real family man and nothing was ever too much for his family. Dad taught us the meaning of real family life where we are all their for each other. I remember with real fondness the time spent in the Isle of Man on the beach just skimming stones into the sea and watching him and mum disappear into the distance as they went on a walk up to peel castle. I remember watching the boats come into Douglas harbour while just playing on douglas head as a family often thinking this was boring as a child but I now look back to those very special times spent together and hope that one day in heaven they will return. Mum and dad have 16 grandchildren who they love very much. Dad has gone ahead to be with Hannah who left us at the age of two and I know that they are both looking down on us all. Dad you were my inspiration and the corner stone of our family, life has never been the same without you. I miss you so much. You will always be in my heart and in my prayers. Thankyou for being my dad you were the best Love always and forever Teresa

Well dad Lee doing his exams now and dani settled in somerset Michael won player of the year tonight and top goal scorer in his league wish you were here to see them You would be so proud off all your grandchildren. You soon to be a great grandad how about that Look over Rach at this time Love you lots always and forever

Well dad its nearly that time of year again that I hate so much but that you loved. hope you look in on us all and keep sending your love down. miss you more and more each day Love you always and forever
Missing you
Well dad its been nearly 4 years since we lost you and there hasn t been a day gone by when I havent missed you. We all of to Cala Bona soon watch over mum for us while we away. You two are the best parents anyone could ever wish for I love you always and forever until we meet up again one day in heaven

Dad its a year today since I set this site up for you. I'm here asking for your help. Please can you look in on pete as he s going through a really difficult time We try to let him know that we are here for him but its difficult being so far away. Mum doing ok now after the heart attack but still misses you like mad. Every day is a day too long without you but a day nearer seeing you again. Dad
Dad just thought I d write a short note to let you know How much we all miss you. Its strange watching all your grandchildren they argue non stop just like we did as kids but look at us now we are and always will be there for each other. Andrew and Danielle have got apprentices Racheals at colledge studying hard and the rest are a bit up and down at school as we were but you would be so proud of all of them they all know that family is the most important thing in life as you always tried to teach us. Dad you and mum were together the best parents anyone could wish for. Mums getting on now and needs you to look over her as Im sure you do (she reminds me of grandma macken). And shes the soft touch to the grandchildren that she always was to us. I know now what you used to argue about as she still gives in as she always did. Words cannot describ how much we all miss and love you and I pray that we dont lose mum for many years to come You two are the corner stones of our family and have made us the people we are today
Another year without you
Well its new years day and Im missing you like mad. People say that it gets easier with time but how can it cause its just longer since i saw you. We all need you here with us. You always made christmas and new year special I only hope that my lot will look back on their childhood and have the sort of wonderful memories that you gave me Remember the bike in birtha and the big christmas dinners all together how I wish we could do that again. I never told you when you were here how very special you are but dad you really were one in a million. I love you lots and thankyou for the wonderful family you have given me it is because of yours and mums hard work bringing us that that we all love and care so much for each other. theres not many families like ours dad and I hope you are proud of us all.
